Talking about air-conditioning and green-house gases, as I crossed the parking lot to the grocery store across the street the number of cars with their engines running reminded me of a pet peeve.

We complain about the price of gas, we complain about the heat, we complain about the rise in respitory related illness, etc.! Idling engines are a part of the problem.

The type of landscape in the image that is part of the original post is in danger because of things like idling engines. We want to visit the cottage on the lake -- please switch off your engine in the parking lot when you stop for supplies on the way.

Thanks!
